-Ry Cooder
Firts he describes himself as someone who is in the middle, not up high but not down low, however he then says:
"Mariachis! are hardly more than street beggars... of the mestizo class, specializing in the primitive music of the migrant and the homesick.I am educated. I read the staff, I know the ostinato, crescendo, obbligato. Trio is refined and elegant." (p. 54)

-This and the following despricption of his interest, makes him sound so arrogant, like he places himself above other muscicians. Later, when he is in a situation surrounded by the upper clas he says,
"I am only a poor requinto player from East Los Angeles" p74
-So who are you!?? does it depend on where you are? you can choose who to be, depending on what is the most convenient.
